They're really there, folks, and they really do have shiny toes. Whether they provide emergency protection and transportation for half-blood teens in a tight spot, I didn't have opportunity to witness. If you haven't met Percy Jackson yet, see if you can borrow a copy of The Lightning Thief from just about any middle-schooler. At six books and counting, and a major motion picture, the series has gone viral. So I don't really need to do a review, right? But I might sometime, just for the fun of it. They are fun books.
Just made a batch of lemon squares for #1 son to take to the social this evening. Grades have been turned in and lesson plans completed; very little knitting has been done this week so far.
