A bit of a life update

Hello little blog, and the readers I've neglected so long. I'm still here, having random thoughts and wanting to share them, then getting distracted. It is always thus.

Steve is still married to me and employed by the same agency he's been at his whole career.

I now have two married sons and four grandchildren. One son and family is local, and one is on the other side of the country.

I have two lovely adult daughters. One is local, and one is on the other side of the country. They are both employed and productive members of their communities.

I have two siblings on the other side of the country and one in another country.

I have a mother-in-law who is local, and a stepmom and uncle in another part of the country.

I have been distracted to a rather extreme degree by genealogy the last 6 years. This has cut into my blogging and needlecraft, but I have contributed thousands of profiles to the WikiTree. I keep wanting to tell some of these family stories on this little blog. And then keep getting distracted by adding more profiles.

I have done a fair amount of quilting, but it has slowed down and I am dissatisfied with my machines but not quite ready to replace them. I want to be more intentional and hoard less fabric, going forward. I keep meaning to attend the quilter's guild meetings and join there. I have done less knitting, because it hurts my hands more than it used to. I should remember to take the supplements that are good for that.

I still suffer from deficiencies of tech skills and general tech anxiety. I have a new email address to replace the old aol one, and it is very easy to remember since it is the same as my username. But I had to invite myself to be a guest blogger on my blog to use it. So -- Kathy and Katherine are the same person. I hope to post again soon.
